Re: Now that we’re out of the running
Oldham are a complete mess. They won’t be contenders in their current state and I think Mellon has lost his mojo.

Re: Big games tonight
I’ve been there for a Worthing match as I was staying the night there for work. I don’t think anything new had been built until this season (some new terracing at one end) and an artificial pitch a few seasons ago.letchbee94 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2024, 18:07 Ok nice, Though it might have changed a bit (new stands etc?) since then?

Re: Barnet retained list
I find it funny that right after Mem’s post advising that we shouldn’t go for a drastic rebuild, we get a post advising for a drastic rebuild!
The fact is that no team has won a league after such a drastic rebuild as Beesting has suggested above.

Re: Big games tonight
Despite their having a plastic pitch, I’d much prefer Worthing to Braintree. Brackley is quite an easy away trip by car but it looks like the sort of ground you’d only want to visit once. I think it’s a shame that Boston have moved out of their great ground in the middle of town for an inferior one ...

I’d prefer Alty but I think it will be Bromley.

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Just want to add I thought the amber battalion were brilliant and at 2-0 down kept singing and kept the noise going. They will play a crucial role next season when we push for one step further While I applaud your optimism, I don’t think we’ll be in a position to push one step further next season. ...

Re: Play offs future
Bring back two legged play offs. Would you really want us to have an away leg at Solihull, 0-4 down, to look forward to? Did you go to the second leg at Shrewsbury? I still remember the disappointment of that. The away leg would have been first! Imagine losing 4-0 at home after drawing the away leg...

I stopped attending any EFL Trophy matches as soon as the EPL U-21 sides were invited in. Why the fuck would I go and watch this?

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
That really couldn’t have gone any worse. I think the occasion got to us, a whole week off left us overthinking things and inhibited us. Solihull looked the fresher side. Their plan of sitting tight, turning over possession rapidly and bringing lots of runners in on the counterattack worked perfectl...

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
So far, we have not been able to pull Solihull out of their shape, we’re missing that player who goes into the hole and forces the opposition to make decisions. They’ve put a player on Hartigan which prevents us from dominating possession and their movement up front has been very good. It did look l...
