Re: Transfers 2024/25

Very much excited by the Wilkinson signing too.

Sounds like a Jack Taylor type!

The Southend embargo and our speed and ruthlessness with this squad assembly could be a really key factor for pipping Southend next season.

So excited for the new season and it's absolutely miles away

Re: And another one…Nik Tavares

I can't help but wonder about some of these comments doubting the quality/ validity of these signings, injury question marks etc... DB is no mug with signings, as he has shown consistently. I know we're all entitled to our opinion but please. Can we have a bit less concern and a bit more excitement?...

Re: Transfers 2024/25

Was he the player who scored Woking's equaliser but then had 2 late penalties saved in the Daniel Middleton match at Woking in March 2023? Yes. So we had to wait until Laurie Walker departed before we signed him because the sight of him in the changing room would have been traumatic for him! Browne...

Re: Dean Brennan Statement

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and the management team are not and should not be above scrutiny. That said, I do get very frustrated with certain supporters who think that a manager who has recruited brilliantly, achieved progress year on year and a 2nd place finish with a mid table budget i...

Re: Dean Brennan Statement

The way DB said in his Solihull post-match interview that preparation for the next season 'starts tomorrow' makes me think he's too stubborn to move on before he's achieved what he set out to do here. Which has nothing to do with loyalty but is still great for us. He'd had a promotion with Wealdston...

Re: Big games tonight

Surprised at the antipathy towards Solihull on here. I was fairly neutral on the play off final it’s not Solihull’s fault we forgot to turn up in the playoffs. Making Wembley twice in a season is something we can only dream of. Saying that I would like to see Gateshead win the trophy after their tr...

May I be one of the first to say...

F**k you Solihull. Hope that really stings

Re: Changes to National League 24/25 season

Like the fact we can name 7 subs, we should always have a GK on the bench! Now we can use 5, this could help ease the workload on players and help reduce injury risk. The festive fixture idea is good as well. It's quite intense playing the same side twice in a week, although we did ok with it this ...

Re: Barnet retained list

Agree it's sad re: Walker. He was Hendonesque in his passion both for the club and winding up opposing fans. He was at the heart of many a great win over the past two seasons. He deserved another crack in the playoffs in my opinion but since Keeley had little to do other than pick the ball out of th...

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread

Just watched the 'highlights' for the first time. The players really do look thoroughly sick with nerves. At one point Gorman's taking a corner fairly early on and looks as if he's about to vomit. How can psychological preparations have been so clearly overlooked? When we are in a promising position...

Re: Transfers 2024/25

"If we go backwards next season it'll be a travesty." Given we finished second I'd say the probability is more likely that we finish lower , happy to be proved wrong though.... This is the fundamental issue with Barnet, there isnt a winners mindset in the players, staff or the fans. We'll...

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread

The feeling is like having given yourself to a passionate relationship for 10 months only to suddenly discover it was seemingly founded on a complete lie.

Still mystified and empty 24 hours on, as I'm sure the players and everyone else at the club is.

Re: Now that we’re out of the running

Agree would be most helpful to have Bromley out the picture next year.

Let's hope they break Solihull hearts at Wembley
