Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
I presume Thompson is fit then? Just watched his interview and he wasn’t even asked about it. Could be just the sort of calm, experienced head we will need out there today.

Re: Callum Stead
Whatever happened to Maguire-Drew? Showed some promise but now seems to have completely disappeared.

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (THTS) The Hawkward Goodbye Match Thread
Crazy would be picking the team for a play-off match based on one game against a team nowhere near play-off standard where neither team was going full intensity. If Pritchard is ready, he has to play. None of our other midfielders have his ability to combine physicality with threat to the oppositio...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (THTS) The Hawkward Goodbye Match Thread
My startin XI would be.. Walker Collinge Thomson Okimo Cropper Kanu Gorman Hartigan Freeman, Kabamba, Stead Coker for Kanu and I’d agree, though if Pritchard is fit I’d probably start him over Freeman despite today’s impressive display. No way could you possibly leave Freeman out after today’s perf...

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (THTS) The Hawkward Goodbye Match Thread
Keeley is a risk today he cocked up at the goal it was his fault and twice he was too far out of his goal and was lucky as his clearances were poor. I’m concerned if we get to Wembley on a big pitch he will get caught out and cost us a place and simply go back to Spurs the only player to get to Wem...

I know it’s the wrong attitude but just can’t bring myself to feel anything but elation (which you know damn well would be the case for their fans if roles were reversed).

Re: Kidderminster Harriers (THTS) The Hawkward Goodbye Match Thread
Brunt will hopefully learn a lot from watching Freeman. Both have very similar attributes but the latter seems to have the ability to influence the game far more. Comes with years of experience I suppose.

Hopefully season ticket holders will still have chance to buy their seats online afterwards - not sure I’ll be able to hang around after the game today - bound to be a massive queue.

Re: Halifax
Just watched the highlights from Saturday. Halifax certainly had some great chances didn't they, especially in the first half. Woeful finishing from them. Looked as though we weren't defending crosses very well.

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
My overall impression from last night was, for the most part, we were too slow and cautious in moving the ball. As has been mentioned above, numerous opportunities to cross the ball were spurned in favour of a cautious sideways or backward pass. Of course in crossing the ball you risk surrendering p...

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
The penalty claim looks even more clearcut on replay (must confess I wasn't 100% sure at the time) - Kanu's clearly got past the defender, who gets none of the ball.

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
I thought Freeman played better than I'd expected and was disappointed to see him go off (although still looks to be lacking a bit of fitness, so understandable subbing him I guess).

Re: Bromley (THTS) The Thin Lilywhite Duke Match Thread
Really strong performance from Keeley - didn't put a foot wrong as far as I recall - certainly had more to do than their keeper, which might suggest we should be grateful for th point. Defensively, I actually thought Collinge looked a bit uncertain at times tonight - not quite up to his usual standa...

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Couldn’t make it yesterday but there are definitely parallel universes in play here - DB’s comments (great performance, should have won) versus the comments on here, especially during the game (seemingly we were outplayed for 70-80% of the time). Can’t have been watching the same game.

Doesn't really matter when the club is moving anyways, short-term pain for long-term gain attendance wise.
