Given the amount of players we signed at key parts of the season last year can we assume we may have had a top 10 budget - but could could not compete with Chesterfield? Bromley etc. Not convinced it was as low as MB rhetotic implies. Luke Garrard would polarise the fanbase - but he got Borehamwood ...

Sir John Akinde let go by Colchester. Not surprising given his age but not for one second do I think we should try and re-sign him.
