Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
We will bounce back (hopefully!)
We will win the next test, and then it will rain in the last test and the series is a draw. Everyone is happy!

Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
Brilliant day by the Aussies, but must build on that. Down here, there is a little bit of negativity regarding the team, Australia didn't play well and credit has been given to the English (oh but its Aussie Trevor Bayliss fault for the improved performance!) But really, the main focus has been Wats...

Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
Davoc, Agree that Marsh will come in for Watson, who is your back up keeper? Haddin starting to look his age. Also very strange to keep Starc bowling with his injury, they must be confident that it will clear up and is not too serious. I think we caught you on the hop you thought you just had to tu...

Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
Didn't expect that TBH. I thought we would play better than that, but I am sure Boof Lehmann would demand a much better performance. But credit to England, deserving winners. Bring on Lords! My 11 for the Aussies, tough one here but a couple changes. Rogers Warner Smith Clarke Voges M.Marsh Haddin J...

Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
IMO Starc will only be in if Harris (or obviously someone else is injured).
They could potentially play all 4 quicks (Johnson, Harris, Starc and Hazlewood) and play Haddin at 6, but that will be risky.
There are actually a lot of options and thats a good problem to have.

Re: The Ashes - The Summer Sport Thread
3-1 Australia. I think all games will be close though, no innings wins/losses...
IMO Starting 11 for the 1st test:
Rogers
Warner
Smith
Clarke
Voges
Watson
Haddin
Johnson
Harris
Hazlewood
Lyon
Starc a bit harsh not to be picked, but got to play the returning Harris and have to play Hazlewood.

Re: Welcome Thread - Introduce Yourself
Hi All! I am David. Another of a weird case scenario, but here goes... First of all I declare that I am a Gunners fan! However since about 2006-07 have always had a soft spot for the Bees, consistently checking the teams results, and all the usual drama associated with the club. I also remember Arse...
