Re: Ronnie Edwards
Wealdstone always built the stadium with the idea of Barnet taking it on, otherwise it wouldnt have been called The Hive. The clue was there all along.

Re: Tv against Newport
Who will be the first to moan that the stadium will look crap on the telly, with half the Billy's staying home now in the warm rather than brave the cold? Now the screens have been fixed I'm going to complain that they're too bright on TV. Hopefully more people will be pleased that we'll get £30,00...

Re: Floodlights (lack of)
People yearn for the Underhill days, half the floodlights not working is the first step towards it.

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
surely good for us - more likely to sell Ronnie Edwards! Good for the chairman to help offset losses to balance the books , doubt we as supporters will see any benefit. A financially solvent club is surely a benefit to all supporters, you just have to look at clubs not in that position to see that.

Re: Who was better than Walker?
There was a young keeper around 1990 who was under used. He had a big future in the game if only given the opportunity, or so the chairman may have thought.

Re: South Stand
But on the subject of terraces, maybe there is an idea for a thread in its own right celebrating the old lumps of concrete we used to stsnd on, and not just limited to Underhill. As someone in their early 40's, I grew up following the team at a time when the Taylor Report was just starting to get i...

If you were merely judging this on fan base alone then Bristol Rovers would be the biggest we have played in the FA Cup.John Hunt wrote:What was our last "big" club drawn in the FA Cup? Preston in the sixties? QPR in the 70s?Mem Beespod wrote:I know! That was why I didn't specify FA Cup.

Is there any truth that in honour of Underhill the school now on the site has only 8 out of every 10 lightbulbs working in each classroom?

Re: Super league
Very few long-standing followers of the big 6 still go to games. Many have been priced out from the eye watering sums being asked for tickets and some haved moved away from London adding to the cost. The new elite level football fans are supporters, who use the tickets to entertain clients. Many ha...

Do you have insight in to the financial side of these deals or is this just guesswork?simples169 wrote:the ammount of money we have been spending on players and loans ,would have paid for DC to stay and build on last season
