Re: Dunstable (a) The Roar Deal Match Thread
As I stated in my e-mail to the club: - "I wasn't at the match and I am not making any judgements, without knowing the full facts." Thank you for providing me with a much clearer honest (as opposed to sanitised match report version) of what was going on at the match. It does put things int...

Re: Dunstable (a) The Roar Deal Match Thread
I wrote the following to the club: - *********** START ************** Dear Tell Us, As a long term supporter of Barnet, I was a little upset about the events of Tuesday's friendly at Dunstable, particularly, for whatever reason, the walk off of our players in the second half. I wasn't at the match a...

Re: So, how are we going to do this season?
Please ignore the question about how you vote, the screen presented me with a chance to vote. It may have helped to have an option of positions 2 to 7 (playoffs), but with no commitment to the outcome of competing in the playoffs. Having said this, thanks for providing the interest of having a poll ...

Re: So, how are we going to do this season?
Personally, I think we will finish in the playoffs. Chesterfield are just too good and have the benefit of a deep squad, so unless a lot of things fall into place that prevent it happening, they are more or less likely to win the league. On a more practical note, how do you register a vote in the ab...

Re: TK 30th Year in charge Has he got his Mojo Back! (Point to prove)
I have been extremely happy with TK from a business perspective. No-one could argue with the facilities at the Hive or the revenue it potentially generates. However, the choice of some managers (lots of untried rookies at the level that we have been playing at) has been a persistent problem. I would...

Re: National League pushes for more promotion spots
Adding fuel to the fire is Luton Town, who are one game from the Premiership. They took 5 years to get back to the Football League and that was only 9 years ago. In theory, this should help the case for 3 up, 3 down. However, what happens in practice is something else!!!

Re: Lack of keeper on the bench.
In the end this is professional football and doing it any other way is not only carries a risk but also looks unprofessional. It's not unprofessional, it's a calculated gamble when you only have 5 subs, which is less than any professional league in Europe nowadays. Will the number of points you gai...

Re: Lack of keeper on the bench.
With no disrespect to any of the previous replies, the goalkeeper is a highly specialised position. The statistics may suggest that you might get caught out once or twice a season by not having a keeper on the bench, but when league positions are defined by small margins (Season 19/20 Barnet 7th, St...

Re: Still In!
Barnet 6 Newport 1 - FA Cup Round 1 November 1970 - My first ever game!!! John Still a very good appointment in the medium term. John is likely to deliver the goods, but might take a little longer than Martin Allen in doing so. John has the added benefit of loyalty to the cause. Long term we must ha...
