Re: Transfers 2024/25
Given what the Daggers fans were saying about Taveres, I wonder whether DB might be looking to play him in the Hartigan role.

Re: Barnet retained list
Hartigan might yet rejoin, everyone is talking as though he's gone somewhere else. I actually think both views of Hartigan have some merit - basically he was one of the best midfielders in the league, but he is short of pace and sometimes that means his opponents just runs past him. What I don't wan...

Re: Danny C of to Walsall
He’s been utterly ineffective the couple of times Brennan has started him on the right. Those occaissions have rarely lasted more than 45min

Re: Danny C of to Walsall
Woking did not exercise their option on Browne What makes you think Woking had an option? According to Woking's retained list, Browne was out of contract and they had offered him a new deal. Clearly we offered him a better deal (or very similar and he preferred to join us.) We have an option on DC ...

Re: Dean Brennan Statement
DB has form on the loyalty front. It was strongly rumored we wanted to offer him the job around the time Flower's was appointed. He decided to stay put at Wealdstone who rewarded his loyalty by sacking him a few weeks later. He then became Director of Football for us a few months later and head coac...

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
John Akinde released by Colchester. Not even going to pretend I’ve seen him play once at Colchester but god I wish he comes home Always best to remember as he was... E.g. Nicky Bailey, Dean Sinclair as examples. Good advice I think. Big John's record this season was 2 goals in 28 appearances, albei...

Re: Big games tonight
I can't decide who I'd prefer to go up. No love for either club and don't really like either as an away ground and not much in it travel time wise for me. I guess I'd prefer to lose Bromley as football should be played on grass!

Re: Big games tonight
I went to the Salisbury vs Gosport play off last night. Dreadful game with a dramatic ending. With two minutes left Gosport were coasting to a scrappy 1-0 win, then Salisbury scored with a low long range effort that was their first worthwhile effort on target in the entire game, then a minute into s...

Re: Barnet retained list
If we could find a tricky winger to play on the right, that would give other teams a real problem. All very well doubling up on one player, but if play gets switched to the other side... I suspect that was the plan for Senior but sadly he never fulfilled his promise. Would imagine we’ll have anothe...

Suspect Matty Stevens also falls into the unlikely to play 30 games category.

Re: Barnet retained list
Coker has been OK. His delivery is ok and he is reasonably solid defensively BUT against pace he really struggles - players know they just have to knock the ball past him and his only choice is to foul them. It’s not so much that I think he’s bad, just that I think we might be able to recruit better.

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Incredibly disappointing. Barnet just didn’t turn up. Solihull were on their game, wanted it more and had the right tactics. Too often Barnet, who can be really positive and creative, are incapable of playing the better teams. DB’s post match interview was really disappointing. It is not good enoug...

Re: Barnet retained list
Willesden Bee is usually well informed. I suspect his keep RHJ is a consequence of him having a 2 year contract.

Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread
Looking at the teams confirmed for the league next year, it’s very winnable on paper. Have to go big this summer This. Big money coming into the club from 3rd party transfers. A 25 goal a season striker on a contract. No big clubs coming up or down. If we have money to spend a 25 goal a season stri...
