Re: Solihull Moors (THTS) The Minging to Winning Match Thread

Our major need this summer is an experienced coach who can actually improve the defence. I don't think the players we have are so bad, just that the shape, the body angles and the gap between the midfield and the defence are frequently wrong. Some pace in the middle of the park wouldn't go amiss. Fi...

Re: Barnet retained list

I'd get rid of Brunt. Fine off the bench when the game becomes stretched but doesn't do enough the rest of the time. He won a 50/50 tackle yesterday; I think that was the first time in his Barnet career.

Nick Jupp, who played 15 games for us in 2013-14, is also on the GK shortlist.

Re: Halifax

I was at the game versus AP Leamington at Loftus Road and subsequently played (in goal) and, indeed, refereed a match on that pitch. It was truly awful, as hard as concrete, a health & safety hazard for goalkeepers, and the ball kept bouncing unevenly where the pieces of the pitch were coming lo...

Re: Gary Hooper

My favourite heckle of this and many past seasons was when Hooper came on as a substitute in a home match and some wag behind me shouted "come on Hooper, make a name for yourself".

Re: Oxford City (THTS) The Match Thread Trolling Away The Stones

Don't for the life of me understand how anyone thinks that was a penalty. Our forward passed the ball on and then collided with their defender. It was totally inconsequential to the path of the ball or our attack on the goal. The more I watch the highlights the more i think it was an excellent and ...

You are misreading things! You need to pay for travel west of West Drayton.

Re: Oxford City (THTS) The Match Thread Trolling Away The Stones

Great that they do an awards thing but anyone know why it was today and not after the last league game on the 20th April? Must agree, when I read on clubs Twitter account that the players awards were going to be held after today's game I found this very strange, cannot remember the date we normally...

Didn't look like a penalty to me. Our player (Collinge?) ran straight into theirs. No reason why the defender should get out of the way.

He has played and scored in Fleetwood's last two U21 matches, including this Tuesday, so is clearly fit.

Much as I love Nicke, I think a three and a half year extension for a 31-year old is completely insane.

Re: Chesterfield (H) The Freeze a Crowd Match Thread

It is 100% a free hit given their season and our injury crisis, even more so as it's our game in hand. If we lose, we are still second, if we win then it is a bonus 3 points. We would be third if we lose as our goal difference would then be worse than Bromley's. We are currently only ahead of them ...
