Re: Sweet Child of Mine
I also seem to recall someone even more ancient than myself talking about the tune Soul Coaxing by Norrie Paramor being used at one time! The original was by a French musician/orchestra named Raymond LeFevre and to me sounded almost identical to the Norrie Paramour version played at Barnet. Tune was...

Sweet Child of Mine
The Guns N' Roses song Sweet Child of Mine is synonymous with Barnet FC, but I wonder just how many fans really know anything about this iconic tune used when the teams runs (or should it be walks) onto the pitch? Guns N' Roses for the uninitiated, are a Los Angeles based group still officially perf...

Re: We reach the end
I would of course love to see DB remain with us for the foreseeable future. My real concern is that we have been exposed at times to Sunday League level counter attacks by fast forwards and needs to be addressed. We also seem to have found ourselves in one on one situations far too often. Going forw...

Re: Barnet retained list
To be frank seeing Walker go from a golden boy at the club previously to being a bit part player allowed to leave just doesn't feel right somehow! Faults aside, he always struck me as a nice guy who gave his best for Barnet and made some incredible saves at times. I hope he leaves with fond memories...

Re: Coaching additions
Sounds like a step forward and no doubt arises from comments originating from DB as part of his planning for next season. I suspect the salary will not be enough to entice a really experienced coach unless they are having trouble finding a new job. However I am sure that relatively young coach seeki...

Re: Blunt about Brunt
We’re 2nd in the league and he’s our most creative player. This is reactionary and feels unjustified I do not doubt his creative ability, in fact I have praised his technical ability, but if only he displayed it more consistency. On some days he could be replaced by one of the youth team without ne...

Blunt about Brunt
To start with let me say that Brunt is a technically gifted player and seems like a nice guy. More than once it has been commented on that tackling and defending generally are not his strong points but on his day he makes up for it with sublime passes and attacking intent. The problem is IMO that he...

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Our inability to deal with fast wingers and DB's desire to have a very high press makes it easy to plan playing against in the play-offs doesn't it unfortunately.

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
I just do not understand how we can fluctuate from good to terrible from week to week. Don't even have the excuse of lots of injuries or players not available!

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Not there, so just wonder if we were caught out by pushing all defenders up too high as usual? At least we have time to correct things by scoring, but why do we have this innate ability to turn a comfortable league position into a tense one by allowing other teams to catch us up?

Re: LUKE GARRARD to leave wood
Much as it may rub some up the wrong way, over the past few years BW seemed much more likely to get promoted out of the National League than our own club! They also had a decent cup run last year least we forget. Yet this season the wheels seemed to have come off of that BW squad rather badly. In co...
