Re: Sponsored Walk Trial "Run"

Well done Gary. Firstly on walking 5.8 miles, secondly on walking 5.8 miles in less than 3 days, thirdly on a well written report with no spelling mistakes but, most of all, well done on just having a brief stop at the Rising Sun. That must have been the hardest bit!

Re: JULY 13 2013 (premier league friendly)

According to Wikipaedia Newcastle United are the 20th richest club in the World measured by Annual Revenue. Considering the last major domestic trophy was won in 1955 (yes, 58 years ago.... FA Cup) that is quite astonishing. Mind you, if you lived in Newcastle what would you do on a Saturday afterno...

Re: Underhill Memories

Now, I'm not a vindictive person. I am really quite a peace-loving chap. But one Underhill memory that stays with me was when that drunken idiot from Ilkeston climbed on to the roof of the covering that was behind the bottom goal and fell through it landing on the terraces below.Such was the awful vi...

Re: Music on Friday

If that was his first attempt I suppose we must forgive him. HOWEVER, it was perhaps the most amateur of attempts in what was a game that had our biggest attendance so far this season. We have two more home games and these will also attract big crowds so let us hope that we have a much more professi...

Re: Last game at Underhill under floodlights

Does anyone remember the FA Cup replay against Enfield. This was back in the 60s.if my memory is correct the Bees had drawn 4 4 away and the Tuesday night replay saw the Bees win (3 0, I think).the crowd was over 9000 and we went on to face Preston at home in the next game in the televised 3rd round...
