Brizzle
The team that lost the league at Dover are being taken over by some very rich Arabic chaps it seems and their 5,000,000 strong fan base are talking of Premierleague already. I remember Notts County thinking they were premierleague -bound a few years ago when Sven took over. Look at them now.

Not sure about their fans talking about the Premier League, this link suggests a fair amount of scepticism.

On the flip side, I can't imagine many Bournemouth fans were talking about the Premier League five years ago, so you never know.

It'll be incredibly difficult for any club to break into the premier league with the riches and parachute payments, they will be paying in the coming seasons. So many clubs in the championship are putting their futures in jeopardy by spending beyond their means trying to get amongst the so called elite. Pretty sad really.StephenM wrote:On the flip side, I can't imagine many Bournemouth fans were talking about the Premier League five years ago, so you never know.

It's the massive potential that attracted them apparently...

I've asked this question before, but I've never received a reply. Does anyone know if TK actively seeks investment in Barnet FC? I'm not talking about his other enterprises, just the football club. I believe there was some talk 4 or 5 years ago that a previous owner of Birmingham City was interested in coming on board, which may have just been gossip and rumour.

I think he's said that if someone presented him with a viable plan for the club then he would happily depart. I'm not really sure though to be honest.Norfolkbee wrote:I've asked this question before, but I've never received a reply. Does anyone know if TK actively seeks investment in Barnet FC? Re: Brizzle
It wasn't a rumour. The club announced it on the OS only to change their minds a few days later after it came to light that the investor had a history of asset stripping clubs or something similar. Anyone remember his name?Norfolkbee wrote:I've asked this question before, but I've never received a reply. Does anyone know if TK actively seeks investment in Barnet FC? Re: Brizzle
Surely a club that big doesn't need investment?
I'm surprised they didn't go for City instead, bigger stadium, higher league position. Obviously less fans though....
