50/1

I haven't seen any of our pre-season games but the results and reports from the games seem promising.
It is possible to get odds of 50/1 for Barnet to win League 2 (1/4 the odd for finishing 2nd or 3rd).
Are these realistic odds? Is it worth a little flutter?

I saw the 50/1 but being fairly lazy I accepted the 40/1 each way with the company I already had an account with. Decent each way bet returns four figures if champions, each way double with Liverpool for the Premiership at 8/1 and Bees at 40/1 is tasty and my saver is Barnet to be promoted at 15/2. Expecting good things this season and looking forward to Cambridge on Saturday immensely. Probably goes without saying that 21/5 is tempting but we need to be winning away? ??

40/1 on bet 365. I have taken the odds on an each way bet.

I've had a small flutter on Barnet to win the league (each way) at 50/1. We're still 50/1 with Betvictor.

Perhaps the more realistic bet is Barnet to finish Top 7 at 9/2, with the same bookmaker (via oddschecker), so I've also put some money on that.

Are the bookies clued-up or clueless?
Every bookie has priced Cambridge United odds on to beat us on Saturday.
If you are confident on a Bees win go to Bet365 or Coral where you can get a very generous 7/2 on a Barnet win.

I have taken advantage of this very generous offer and will be toasting my winnings on Saturday night.

Barnet are also 20/1 to finish within 20 points of top of the table (or possibly more if it isn't Portsmouth on top). That would only require (only) just more than 70 points this season. That is definitely possible.

I think they also have to finish above every other team after the handicaps of the market are added on.

Good catch. So, for example, with Barnet being +20, we'd have to finish within 12 or better of Plymouth (+8)

Last year I had us to finish top 7, Akinde e/w top scorer and Borehamwood on the handicap system (thought that was my best bet but hell no!).

Can't see the value this year, but still got a couple of hours. ..
