50/1
Re: 50/1
50/1.....forget those odds!
Skybet are offering 500/1 on Barnet winning the League 2 championship.
We are currently ten points behind the team in 3rd place and there are still thirty matches to be played.
An each way flutter at a quarter of the odds (500/1 to win and 125/1 for 2nd or 3rd) must be appealing.
If you don't want to wait till May to collect from the bookies Saturday's odds are:
Barnet win 6/4
Crewe win 2/1
Draw 12/5

I guess that must be the case. Paddy Power's odds on us winning the league are 175/1 (quarter the odds, 44/1 for 2nd and 3rd).ninestein wrote:We are currently 22-1 with PaddyPower to get promoted... one would assume that would include a playoff promotion and not just finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd...?
Re: 50/1
Saturdays game is a hard one to call.Crewe took a hiding midweek in the cup.But unbeaten in their last 3 league away games.Barnet, played 8 league games at home.W2 D4 L 2.
If we get at them from the start and not let them play.6/4 looks OK.Im going to risk it on a Barnet winning H/T, Barnet winning F/T bet.
I'm a bookies dream.

Anyone else tempted by Shaun Batt anytime goalscorer at 15/8 with Paddy and StanJames?
Also, I might have a second bet on Bondz N'Gala anytime goalscorer at 11/1.
Get ready bookies, I'm coming for you

Very interesting table of highest scorers in the league for the club. Puts into perspective too Grazioli's achievements with the club. Of course, his contribution in getting us to the play offs and then to the Conference title was immense but he couldn't make the transistion up into league football at all. In all honestly, he was basically a Conference level player. Sad.
Re: 50/1
Not entirely true in my opinion. He scored 5 against us in one game as a league player. Once we got promoted we switched to playing 1 up front which was not playing the Graz's strengths at all. He was also towards the end of his career by time we got promoted.hobbitbee wrote:Very interesting table of highest scorers in the league for the club. But Izale, who many fans have heavily critized, scored 32 goals in two terrible seasons in very poor teams. And he didn't exactly get much support either. Graz had his time and his glory and I very much appreciate his achievement in being the catalyst for us returning to the league, but his league record was generally poor even before he came to Barnet which was why he was the make weight in the Junior Agogo deal. Scoring five goals in one game doesn't mean anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging him off, I thought he was wonderful in those two seasons (2003/04 & 2004/05), but he just didn't have the pace for league football, in my opinion. Even at the time, you could see the difference when Tresor Kandol arrived. He was much more suited to league football than Graz.
