When is AKINDE back? Will he stay?
Re: When is AKINDE back? Will he stay?
So....could a scenario be that JA has submitted a transfer request that at the moment is only known to TK, Rossi and a select few ?
And so far, no club has matched TK's evaluation of JA's worth?
When it was announced that Coultrist had been signed, I expected him to be announced eventually as JA successor. Let's see...

I doubt JA has submitted a transfer request. Usually players have loyalty bonuses in their contract which get annulled if they ask for a transfer. I'm convinced that JA signed his last contract on the agreement that he would be sold if a decent bid was made and in the meantime he got a nice pay risehoofer2 wrote:So....could a scenario be that JA has submitted a transfer request that at the moment is only known to TK, Rossi and a select few ?

To me, that's a reasonable fee and would help us get 2-3 players that we need. I can't see many clubs willing to pay more than £700k for a 28 year old who albeit has banged in goals for fun in recent seasons, but flopped at a higher level.Itai-bee wrote:Someone also said on twitter, that the bid is around £650,000

TK is very stubborn when it come to selling his players.I'm sure he will get the very best deal for Barnet,if true.Mr Smart wrote:To me, that's a reasonable fee and would help us get 2-3 players that we need. If it's true... £650,000 is a lot of cash.
The problem is that it doesn't leave us enough time to get another striker in and no-one has really stepped up in his absence yet.

Seems to be alot of assumptions that any fee for JA would be spent on replacements. I'm not so sure.

£650k doesn't even cover the reduction in tv income following relegationNoMagRyan wrote:If it's true... £650,000 is a lot of cash.

Yes of course he is going. We just have to get use to life without him. From what I saw at Brighton we should be ok provided we can sign another frontman to help Coulthurst.

£650.000 would only buy he's "dodgy " knee hope it's not that low if he's sold.

He will still be a bee come September 1st.
Re: When is AKINDE back? Will he stay?
I think this is the most probable scenario. There was rumour a fortnight ago that Luton were interested and it doesn't look like going away. The only problem is who we replace him with....Dave Tarpey could be worth a punt. His scoring record is amazing and he looks progressive. The new Vardy who could fire us up the leagues.Mr Smart wrote:I doubt JA has submitted a transfer request. Not Luton John, don't go to Luton!
It would be a big loss if he goes, but as we all know, anyone who is any good for us always moves on when the £ comes calling.
Without him, I think we'll struggle this season as I can't see where the goals are gonna come from.
