Personally I thought it was more to do with the fact that we got 3 points out a possible 48 in the first 16 games of that season under Mark Robson.

Admittedly Davids turned more or less the same team into one that then averaged play off form for the rest of the season, but he did make a tactical mistake in a couple of games in his first ever managerial role :whistle:

The way I saw it was that Davids had us doing well until around March and then adopted very negative tactics which persisted until he left the club.

A shame as he was doing very well.

He's got squad number 39.
I assume because that's his height in feet and inches.
