But then £2 a month for the summer & no joining fee next season? Or do you still pay a joining fee to upgrade?

No joining fee so only risk is you may lose your seat.
i dont care about my seat anymore, won't do every game next season so £2 membership will be good value along with the freebees/offers
John, no excuses now to come up and watch Livi play then. Is Andrew joining you in no longer attending games ?

Seriously if you don't like the Hive don't come. I support the team not the ground.... I just get so bored listening to people's stories of underhill etc. Yes it was great at times but the atmosphere was dogshit for years.

Believe me underhill was all I knew but I recognise the club has to move on

The club hasn't moved on, only moved home. It is still playing the same shit as in the last 5 years at Underhill, as the first 5 years at the Hive.

Have to agree the Underhill sentimentality is becoming pretty tiresome

If we were at the other end of L2, nobody would be mentioning Underhill.
We can all remember Underhill with affection but there aught to be some realism also. The place was outdated and unsuitable for 21st century professional football.

If we ever see 21st century professional football your comment might take on some relevance.

As are your maniacally supportive posts of Westley and his managerial skills. Nobody has a pop at you though.

Agreed the football was shocking throughout the last 6 years at Underhill (bar under David’s, which was enjoyable) love the old place, but it’s gone now. A successful team at The Hive would enable people to move on.... unfortunately that looks a long time away :(

I disagree.

Tony committed some time ago that we would never see league football at the Hive, and when we got relegated at Northampton his commitment was fulfilled, but that pesky Martin Allen made him break his promise.

Now Tony is doing everything within his power to live up to that commitment by appointing a succession of disastrous managers and consigning us back to the non-league.

Fair play, that man never knowingly breaks a promise.

To be fair i don't think anyone is this thread has been moaning about the hive, people were only discussing ways as home fans we could use the best bar in the ground.

Much of the moaning is about the endless promises every season about playoffs and progression by TK, yet every season (Baring the recovery season back when we got promoted back to the FL) has been dogshit, and as you mentioned it has been 10 years now!

As its being demolished it would have been topical had we been 7 points clear at the top rather than 7 adrift of safety.

I get the impression that remembering some of the great times at Underhill is getting in the way of your attempts to pretend that everything is great and we shouldn't be posting negative posts.

With regard to the first part, I hold my time at Underhill going back as far as 1964 as very close to my heart, as I used to go there with my father. I don't just remember Underhill, but also the times enjoyed there with my father, who passed away a few years back. I am sure that there are many others with comparable situations. On that basis if I want to post about Underhill I f*cking well will!

Underhill 106 years
The Hive 4 years

You don't switch off history like a light bulb.
Like Bee52 I will also post about Underhill whenever I want.
