I get the impression that remembering some of the great times at Underhill is getting in the way of your attempts to pretend that everything is great and we shouldn't be posting negative posts.

With regard to the first part, I hold my time at Underhill going back as far as 1964 as very close to my heart, as I used to go there with my father. I don't just remember Underhill, but also the times enjoyed there with my father, who passed away a few years back. I am sure that there are many others with comparable situations. On that basis if I want to post about Underhill I f*cking well will!
Fair point Bee52, I first went to Underhill with my dad and sadly he passed away between the last game at Underhill and the first at THL.

We can all remember Underhill with affection but there aught to be some realism also. The place was outdated and unsuitable for 21st century professional football.
As its being demolished it would have been topical had we been 7 points clear at the top rather than 7 adrift of safety.
Of course the demolition would have been mentioned if we were 7 points clear.

But there obviously wouldn't be as much anger and bitterness towards the club and team, had these pathetic bunch of cowards we currently have to endure in Barnet shirts been any good, and at the top of the table.

Alas, we are going to be back at square 1; back in Non League in a lovely stadium in an inconvenient area, with a dwindling core support.

Agreed the football was shocking throughout the last 6 years at Underhill (bar under David’s, which was enjoyable) love the old place, but it’s gone now. A successful team at The Hive would enable people to move on.... unfortunately that looks a long time away :(
Spot on!

If you read this message board then you will realise that about 90% of comments relate to High ticket prices, Location of the Hive and long-standing Shit Football. This is a board for peoples opinions and sometimes it seems we are moaning because for a long time now, the negatives far outweigh the positives. I suggest that if you don't like moaning, then don't read this message board.

It should've been a new beginning, but the Conference title win was only a false dawn. I had high hopes that the move with extra revenue streams would've helped us compete comfortably at League Two level, but the playing strength has been (to put it kindly) patchy.
May be too much has gone into the off-field activities and the eye has been taken off the playing side, which, after all, is what the club should be all about. Success on the pitch would bring its rewards.

I'm the most positive bees fan I know, and I'm constantly looking for the other side of whines.

I've got no issue with people reminiscing about Underhill, knowing well the atmosphere was awful for the last few years bar the end of season escapes, and the facilities so poor my daughter refused to come. But it was home.

I was very positive at the start of this season with Rossi at the helm and suddenly playing good football. There were numerous high points - for example the few days between signing Dave Tarpey, and him getting his season ending injury; from whipping Swindon to the moment Exeter got their last minute winner.

But since then really there has been nothing I can offer to perk up spirits. I'll give you one:

- Relegation won't see the club folding due to relegation issues

Other positives welcome, probably not in a thread about a game which saw us get whooped, ended any myth of a new manager bounce, extended the distance to safety, saw a midfield picked that was probably our weakest in years out of about 64,000 possible midfield options with our bloated squad.

So, postives on a postcard please.

The new Pecking Order match day menu of freshly baked bread, salad, chicken leg and thigh, with rice AND AS MANY CHIPS you can eat; at £8.50 is very good value and cheaper than the previous match day offering which was a tenner for those that didn’t know.
