National League next season
Re: National League next season
If we've supposedly got the 10th biggest budget in League Two, then surely we'll have one of the highest in the National League next season.
Based off that logic, anything less than finishing in the play-offs would be an embarrassment really. Although I appreciate that this logic failed us this season and Accrington have also defied it.

I don't think anything is tied on in this league. It seems that anyone is capable of beating anyone regardless of size and reputation. The fact that Boreham Wood are in the play-off final is witness to that. There is no longer the part-time cannon fodder there used to be. Most teams are either well organized or bank-rolled.tomrose72 wrote:If we've supposedly got the 10th biggest budget in League Two, then surely we'll have one of the highest in the National League next season.

You need to be organised from the start and hit the ground running. When we were relegated last time, we took half a season to adjust and by then it was just too late to recover lost ground, although we had a decent enough team to make at least the play-offs. MA taking over changed that.

My 3 year plan:
2018/2019 - Regroup, make play offs, get knocked out in semis, probably by Borehamwood
2019/2020 - Stuff this, auto-promotion
2020/2021 - Mid table League 2
2020/2021 is a buffer year in case something goes wrong.
MUST DO THIS TIME ROUND:
1. Wembley
2. Wembley
3. Wembley
I DO NOT CARE if it's via Play Offs or FA Trophy (just not FA Vase please) BUT WE HAVN'T BEEN SINCE 1973 THE CONFERENCE IS OUR BEST CHANCE.

Even in the worst case scenario we wouldn't have a chance to get to Wembley via the FA Vase until 2022/23!MCB wrote:My 3 year plan:

Salford have pared company with their joint managers - wonder which one of the class of 92 will take over!!
Re: National League next season
Great way (!) of thanking them for their efforts and success in getting Salford to 3 promotions in 4 seasons ( not). Quote "irreconcilable differences".jerroll wrote:Salford have pared company with their joint managers - wonder which one of the class of 92 will take over!!
I know nothing about these two guys but I hope they go on to find success elsewhere and that Salford crash and burn.
