Exeter City - New Stand

Post: # 248581Post PBBee »

Is this our old South Stand from Underhill (or was it the small north terrace from the Hive they were taking?

It’s the same construction company we’ve used in the past.

No need to waste but as I alluded to a few weeks ago surely Exeter are loaded in recent years with all the young player sales?

Neither the Hive terrace will be installed behind the goal once the new stand is completed.

Shush - we get paid for that! Albeit at £1 a user. It's a great bouncy stand!

Shame about the views though (and I don't mean Exeter).

I saw an Exeter fan last Saturday who was coming back from their game at Lincoln and he said that they was having our old stand from Underhill.

Won't fit Chris, area is too small.

Ah ok John, He lives in Biggleswade so I guess he does not keep up to date that much that sort of thing with the club.
I was looking forward to maybe seating back in my old South stand seat IF we was to ever get the chance to play them again.

It's the roof and backing area of the Hive North Terrace which Exeter will be re-using.

When does the work start on the new south stand?

I would like to think this has been pushed down the "pecking order" of things to do since we have been relegated

Don't think planning has gone through yet anyway. TK said that the local elections has slowed things up.
We should concentrate on regaining our league status first before doing any more re-vamp work at the Hive.
What we have right now is more than adequate for a NL club.

The flipside of that is that being NL may be just the right time to do the work. With the exception of games against Orient there are unlikely to be many bumper crowds so having one side closed for rebuilding will be less of a problem,
