Dave Tarpey
Dave Tarpey
Is there any news on Dave Tarpey's recovery from his anterior cruciate ligament injury? Will he be fit to start next season? I can't help thinking that, given Tarpey's goal-scoring record at Maidenhead, there is no way that Barnet would have been relegated last season with him in the team. More to the point, each time that Barnet has achieved promotion from the Conference level, it has been largely thanks to having an exceptionally prolific striker (Gary Bull, Graz, Akinde) ...
Re: Dave Tarpey
According to one of his own tweets, he was given the all clear to resume first team training in the final weeks of the season, but not enough time to get match fit for the run-in. Should have no problem taking part in pre-season.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!
Re: Dave Tarpey
Hopefully we will see Tarpey back to his best. He was a really effective player with Maidenhead and if he is just 75% as good as that we have a winner in the squad!ninestein wrote:According to one of his own tweets, he was given the all clear to resume first team training in the final weeks of the season, but not enough time to get match fit for the run-in. Hopefully can be our reincarnation of Graz!

Re: Dave Tarpey
To be honest, if you have Tarpey, Nicholls and Coulthirst in the team week in week out the team should get 45 goals just from those 3.

To win promotion, i'd be hoping for 55-60....ealingbee84 wrote:To be honest, if you have Tarpey, Nicholls and Coulthirst in the team week in week out the team should get 45 goals just from those 3.
Just imagine if Akinde stays
