No surprise there.

So happy about this, been wanting him out for ages. Treats the ball like a hot potato, has no vision, plays with the blinkers on and his composure on the ball is shocking. He has a half decent engine on him but hes not a ball winner either.

Good afternoon.

This morning we have signed Curtis Weston.

He is a Champion.

Take care,

Martin
He is a Champion.
He is a Champion once. He was a central part of our Relegated teams Twice.

This is awesome. He's repeating the Eastleigh saga of signing all the players I want moved on.

The no look over the shoulder hoof only works for Akinde. Not sure i've seen him pass to someone on the team in the 6 years he's been here.

#ByeByeHerbalife

JLAA next please Mart

Take Care

It's not about who moves out, but who comes in. I suspect Weston was on a fair wedge. The only thing I will say for MA is that he is getting his business done early, which is sensible. I hope our first new signings are too far away, although we all know TK likes to save a few bob on wages.

Also not massively upset although he has been a good servant to the club & had some very good performances (just not as often in recent times).

However that is 2 ex captains we have lost to them now so as cliche as it sounds we really need to sign some leaders. Sweeney must stay & keep the armband but even he is quite young and doesn’t have the experience of Nelson & Weston.

Was he the 2nd longest serving player after Mauro?

Wish you wouldn't hold back in what you want to say ......... But agree completely.

For someone who is always in the gym, promoting herbalife and a very healthy life style, did seem to fade very quickly in the 2nd half.

And I am aware he has been out injured, Curtis's last outstanding game for us was ..............

Constantly gives the ball away, no composure - pleased he's gone.

It is comical that MA is taking our players once again though!

To be fair, when MA announced that various players had been offered new contracts, he didn't specify by whom.

I think it's fair to say Curtis never really became a fans favourite. Had his moments with a few patches where he played more forward and scored a few but generally a bit meah!!
His stint as captain was probably the low point.

Good luck to him, hopefully our youngsters will do at least as good a job, but we need some old heads to compliment them.

A new midfield was needed. Older head to partner Sweeney and Santos at the back and in midfield.

Allen stripped the captaincy off Weston twice as is was affecting him on the pitch. Nelson was Club Captain as he was a role model, but wasn't captain on the pitch.

Players i'd be worried about losing to Chesterfield more than Nelson & Herbalife:

Richard Brindley (D)
Elliott Johnson (D)
Ricardo Santos (D)
David Tutonda (D)
Jack Taylor (M)
Simeon Akinola (M)
Wesley Fonguck (M)
Mauro Vilhete (M)
Dan Sweeney (M)
John Akinde (F)
Shaquile Coulthirst (F)
Dave Tarpey (F)

If Allen touches any of those - then i'll get angry. But he's not taking the key talent from our squad. He's not taking the legs, the energy, the talent OR the goals. The only reason i'd be upset if Akinde joined them is that he'd score 20 goals in the same league as us next year. If he did join them though, I know TK would have paid over the odds.

It's exactly like when Togwell, Muggleton & Hoyte joined Eastleigh (see: http://www.onlybarnet.com/forum/viewtop ... =3&t=11508)
MA is helping us massively. Double agent.
i wonder how often Muggleton is checking his phone
Has Chesterfield signed our new drummer yet :D
