Cobblers (Onefield) The Misery's Company Match Thread

Post: # 252277Post Bee_Forever »

So …. Tuesday sees the team return to competitive action after Saturday's narrow loss to Ipswich.

Cobblers away gives us a chance to revisit the scene of one of our most painful memories as we visit the ground which all but sealed the end of Edgar's tenure at the club.

I will never forget the mockery and lack of class from the Northampton fans as we departed the league on goal difference, the only comfort, given we visit the ground after Tony's latest rookie mistake, is that their classless fans also tasted the bitter taste of relegation last term.

In terms of team lineup I think Still is still tinkering with it to a degree but I would like to see us trying to bed in our strongest XI sooner rather than later. We still need to pin down the right wing and striker slots but hopefully there will be some news on that soon.

My team:-

------------------------Cousins--------------------------

--Alexander----Reynolds----Sweeney---Johnson---

--Trevor Rialist---Fonguck---Boucard---Sparkes---

-----------Coulthirst----Tony Rialist-------------------

Doing this one by taxi as the Percy buses were all booked. Should be interesting.

I would agree with you Cranners but instead of the Rialist brothers i think it will be

Medy Elito and Josh Walker.

I think there are too many Realists at the club already, certainly amongst the fans..

You can tell when they are on the pitch as they constantly say "from me" "to you" as they pass the ball

Wonder who is partnering Sweeney at the back, assuming the trialist is Elito again (could be a CB though?)

This Azaze lad must be decent if the trialist keeper is being left out in his favour. He's only 16.

Last minute change to the lineup. Cheye Alexander doesn't start. Tutonda replaces him.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

0:1 not great marking at the back post by Sweeney from a cross , overall doing ok trailist(Elito I think ) had a good shot saved after a good move, serously lacking up front nobody to hold it up

Is that 3 of the new defenders all out injured (assuming that’s why Alexander was withdrawn late on)?

Hopefully they are just knocks as the club has tweeted!
