Re: Mo Bettamer
If this is the case, that would mean we will now have 8 forwards at the club. Dave Tarpey, Byron Harrison, Shaq Coulthirst, Jack Barham, Manny Duku, Josh Walker, Simeon Akinola. Even through, I see both Walker & Akinola as wingers. (Yes Akinola is still unavailable) Yet John Still keeps playing Walker up front. He might be the best finisher at the club (according to Still) where does he see this then? in training when he's unopposed. We are lacking fire power up front. Unless this means someone is off? Harrison is out for longer than first fault. Who knows. I'll take it with a pitch of salt.

Re: Mo Bettamer
Former Bee Hakan Hayrettin is the manager at Braintree and Bettamer is apparently already without a contract at the moment:

Re: Mo Bettamer
Great signing if true, although not exactly a priority area for us to strengthen unless we plan to change formation. A Shaq/Tarpey/Bettamer front 3 causes serious damage at this level.
Re: Mo Bettamer
Perhaps there is a concern that some of the other forwards have not returned to expected level post injury, or simply have not met the standard Still is hoping for. We are still chopping and changing our forward line every week. Maybe Harrison has a long term injury and Duku will be sent back to parent club, and the trio of Barham, Tarpey and Coultrist are not consistent enough.

There's a thread on the Chesterfield fans forum about it and I saw an article in Just Football.com (sorry, I am inept at copy and pasting).jamesharpin1 wrote:Where’s this from? He’s a quality player

We've heard that line many times before in recent history - Shaun Batt, Tarpey, Boucard, Akinola, Akinde etc.barnet34 wrote:Harrison was in full training on Monday.hoofer2 wrote:Perhaps there is a concern that some of the other forwards have not returned to expected level post injury, or simply have not met the standard Still is hoping for. Re: Mo Bettamer
Braintree fans are still waiting to see where Mo will turn up. Like all things Braintree, everything is cloaked in secrecy, until a player spills the beans on his twitter account! After he scored both goals at Salford he was allegedly approached by them and refused to play against Barnet in the cup so as not to be cup-tied. More recent rumours linking him with Barnet.
He has managed 6 goals in a team that was struggling to create chances, has a thunderous shot, not bad in the air and good with the ball at his feet. He was probably the best striker of a poor lot at Braintree, it remains to be seen how good he really is.
