Of course it’s not necessarily sexist if you don’t happen to like a particular commentator (although I suspect women suffer to some degree from the fact that we are just not accustomed to hearing a female voice describe the football, and therefore to many it simply somehow sounds ‘wrong’.).Norfolk & Chance wrote:I agree.

Personally I can't stand Jonathan Pearce but it's not because he's a bloke!!
And people are obviously entitled to their opinions, and others are entitled to disagree with them. I was simply disagreeing with the opinion that the BBC employing a woman to commentate on football is ‘PC box-ticking’ and the inference that somehow the neutral, non-political act would be to exclude half the population from this occupation!
