Re: John Still
He's been to a couple of their home matches recently, hence the rumours.
Re: John Still
I think he was manager there long long ago.

So him saying he was retiring because of his age was just BS then
Re: John Still
Maidstone will announce their new "experienced" Head of Football tomorrow.
This H of F will appoint a Head Coach.
Please, please, please let the Head Coach not be DC.

I can't think of a single reason why Maidstone would be a more attractive club than us for DC!hoppy wrote:Maidstone will announce their new "experienced" Head of Football tomorrow.

Re: John Still
The speculation on the Maidstone forum is John Still but with Hakan Heyrettin as manager. He was apparently Still's assistant at Luton. They supposedly were both at Maidstone's Kent Senior Cup match at Dartford last night and were seen talking to "Bill" ( they have a director called Bill Williams so presumably him).
Obviously could all be rubbish but let's hope Heyrettin's 4-0 win last Saturday has made Maidstone think he's the man for their job.

Re: John Still
If JS is the new H of F at Maidstone DC would still have him as his mentor. TK has not offered DC the managers job at Barnet, who knows, he may not. If someone like MA gets the job then DC will be unceremoniously booted down to the nearest Jobcentre.rudebwoyben wrote:I can't think of a single reason why Maidstone would be a more attractive club than us for DC!hoppy wrote:Maidstone will announce their new "experienced" Head of Football tomorrow.

Re: John Still
The rumour among Maidstone Utd supporters is that Still will be the DoF with Hakan Hayrettin as his no. 2, which makes sense considering the two worked in tandem at Luton Town for some time.

If this does happen, then it just proves that he was pushed and didn't jump.

Re: John Still
Unless Dartford have a potential star player in their squad, I don't see that either JS or HH would have been scouting at Dartford v Maidstone Kent Senior Cup match. We're not going to play Maidstone for a month, Braintree don't play them until Easter, also the team Maidstone put out was a much changed team, giving Saturday's 5 subs and 2 others a run out so would have told JS / HH little.
Anyway, all will be revealed either way tomorrow.

Re: John Still
The club has just released a statement that JS and the club have mutually agreed to part ways.
