Hitchin Town's game at home to Leiston was abandoned tonight after 30 mins due to torrential rain. Winds are due to get stronger tomorrow night during our game. This might not be pretty on the eye...

Could be a Paul Showler corner going straight in tomorrow night then!

I wonder if Currie may be tempted to give Chime some match time today. We have played players before they are ready many times over the years. and match time is the only real test for this: some players can have shockers on the training field yet have a matchwinning mentality that lifts those around them, others may be Pele on the training field yet find it difficult to step up when the pressure is on.

Chime clearly has an eye for goal this season and a strikers instinct. We are getting service into the box. Let's see if he can convert chances in first XI.

I think this is a good call

Maybe he's the answer staring at us in the face

But it still does not change the fact that nobody including DC has answered why we cannot buy someone or bring someone in with not only the money from peterbrough but the wages saved on both JT and boucard

that's at least minimum £1500 a week which is a good wedge for a loan signing or a short term contract for a striker!

Fair play to the club, decision made in plenty of time to stop Farsley from travelling especially with forecast for rest of the day.

The postponement is a blessing in disguise. With the strong winds and rain due all through this evening, the game would not be a pretty one to watch. It could have been a leveller.

Hopefully by next Tuesday the storms will have been and gone and we can put the tie to bed playing some decent football.

Also, Sweeney and Walker might be fit for the new date and give us a bit more firepower.

The irony of Darren's comments post match after the first game. Along the lines of how bad their pitch was and that we'll play our style of football on our own pitch. Their pitch will be better than ours!

Well, I don't know about Masuka, but plenty of people do seem angry at the club because it has failed to stop Storm Brendan from arriving on these shores.

Yes, the pitch is in a terrible state and we need to sort it, but in this case an announcement has been made in good time, gale force winds and torrential rain are forecast and other games are being called off/abandoned mid-match too.
