I wonder if it's the same referee as last week?

And?
A full stop is a punctuation mark, it is used to mark the end of a declaratory sentence

Surely each instance should be judged on its merits. Taking the emotion of our own game out of the equation, if a pitch is playable in the late afternoon but then starts to freeze quickly in the early evening, what can the club or referee possibly do? It's force majeure.

If a pitch is looking suspect several hours before, then clearly the referee (or a local referee) should make that call earlier, as we did with the Dagenham game.

The condition of the pitch in the wider scheme of things is another subject for debate.

For any club to postpone a match is not what anyone wants and the cost for clubs lower down the pyramid can financially ruin them. Most of step 6 and below have first, reserve and U18s team matches played on their pitch and some are owned by the council.

If it's physically impossible to play on and agreed by both clubs, the early it's called off the better for everyone. But when you have local FAs fining clubs for being proactive is a joke, especially when there is a disregard for the FA Cup.

Spurs Ladies game at THL postponed today due to waterlogged pitch

How did the pitch look yesterday? Was kind of hoping things may be improving but obviously not

good - less games played on it the better.

Pitch was pretty cut up yesterday, particularly in the middle and goal mouths.

Lets hope it gets a good rest between now and our next home game!

Did it rain overnight?! Pitch was bone dry yesterday.

Not in a great state, but no water.

It looks like it will be dry all week, which can only help our pitch.
