Mark Hughes

Post: # 2723Post becbee »

Genuine question. What did Mark Hughes contribute last night?

I appreciate our view wasn't the best ( no wonder Southend want a new ground!) but when he was subbed my reaction was that I'd not even realised that he was playing. What did I miss? This isn't even meant as a dig at him, I'm just curious. 80 minutes on the pitch yet I genuinely don't remember seeing him even touch the ball.

Surely he must have committed a few fouls? That's the only contribution he normally makes.

He actually played quite well and put in a peach of a weighted lob to Marshall which could easily have resulted in a goal. I would question what Southam contributed, one or two comedy moments aside. My main concern is Mcleod, just how fit is he?

To be honest i think Mark Hughes makes too many mistakes and gives the ball away quite a bit, i know Southam also makes mistakes but he never gives up and gives it all in the way he plays which sometimes seems hard with his sliding tackles.
