Real League Table 2013-14
Real League Table 2013-14
28 Apr - The final update. Interesting (and perhaps a bit sad) to see that in recent years the play-off threshold was higher and Halifax would have missed out completely with Gateshead and Grimsby struggling to make it. At the other end Chester can be a tad disappointed to be going down with 51 points - in any other year they would have been OK.
This year's sporting award must surely go to Welling who were the only team to allow Hyde a victory, and they magnanimously did this at their own ground.
I hope you have found this useful/interesting. Back next February!

Re: Real League Table 2013-14
With some wild prophesy I reckon 72 points will be enough to secure a play off place this year - so we need another 9 wins out of the next 16 games. Still beeelieve.
PS. thanks Timbee

Re: Real League Table 2013-14
Guys, based on recent seasons points requirements, IMO we will need something approaching 80 points to guarantee a play-off place. that means with 11 matches to go at time of writing this we cannot afford to lose more than 3 (possibly 4) of these last 11 games! Despite others optimism I do not think that low 70's points will be enough, but I hope I am wrong.
Re: Real League Table 2013-14
Sorry to say that I still haven't seen anything to make me change my point of view. Following the last three results, Barnet have now lost 3 of the 4 games I allowed for and are now on a tightrope to qualify for the play-offs IMO.dawat wrote:Guys, based on recent seasons points requirements, IMO we will need something approaching 80 points to guarantee a play-off place. that means with 11 matches to go at time of writing this we cannot afford to lose more than 3 (possibly 4) of these last 11 games! Re: Real League Table 2013-14
This is now our highest points score in a league or non-league season since 2004/05.
Re: Real League Table 2013-14
I was a bit slow getting the table updated this weekend - all up to date now, but please do check for errors. I'll try to get it up to date fairly quickly after this week's games.JWTBee wrote:We have 61 points not 60!
At least this year we are safe with 6 games still to play even if a play-off place is starting to look like it might not happen.

Bees Maximum is 77 and Tamworth are already relegated as Aldershot and Hereford are still to play each other and so Tamworth can't catch both of them.
Re: Real League Table 2013-14
Thank you - I knew I had to edit our maximum and then forgot. I will leave Tamworth on Death Row ...BarnetSteve wrote:Bees Maximum is 77 and Tamworth are already relegated as Aldershot and Hereford are still to play each other and so Tamworth can't catch both of them.
