Has there ever been a player whose career has been so dependant on a manager? Kevin Nolan and Sam Allerdyce maybe?

HOLMES HEADS TO OXFORD

Ricky Holmes is expected to join Oxford on a half-season loan from Sheffield United today, after Blades boss Chris Wilder confirmed the news.

The 31-year-old is thought to be set to complete the move within 24 hours.

Not sure - after leaving Aldershot he wasn't even starting regularly for St Albans or Farnborough. Sounds like it could have been he just lost his footballing mojo.

I've never seen a Barnet player in better form than Lee Hodges over Easter 1996 - a hat-trick against Hartlepool at home and then all four goals at Rochdale. Just incredible on his day and one of our best ever ex-players.
