I was fortunate enough to see two great eras of the Bees; first as a youngster the team in the late 50's that reached the Amateur Cup final with Bobby Brown and then on to the 60's with Dextar Adams in charge. This team went on to leave the amateur ranks and join the Southern League. Les Eason, Roger Figg and his brother Brian, Tony Brimacombe, Barry King, Paddy Powell, Gerry Ward and so many more. This era probably came to a conclusion with another visit to Wembley in the Trophy final of 71/72. The football was attractive and goals were plenty.
I can't really add to much about Baz's teams of the 80's and 90's as it's already been said. I would only say that the majority of the players playing in these halcyon days went on to play for teams at a higher level and all did themselves justice.
Great days.
