As long as he doesn't admit to doing it on purpose:

The easiest booking to concede would be to kick the ball away when the opposition win a free kick, don't tap it away, absolutely hoof it over the stand. No risk of a red card, no risk of injuring an opponent and will prevent a quick attack being launched against us.

Hypothetically, say we were 2-0 up at the time and in no danger of losing, could the FA then investigate that as getting booked on purpose?

Easiest yellow card is to pull/drag someone back. Doesn't matter what part of the pitch, it seems to be automatic yellow. No risk of getting sent off and cannot be proved that did deliberately e.g. it happened in the heat of the game etc.

I think KMB would have a break down if we cup tied him.

Concentrate on the league. Will be easier to get a 3rd round spot next year when we start in the 1st round!

Not sure conceding a free kick as part of getting a yellow is a wise move. Better to be done for time wasting or kicking the ball away.

What's the betting Stephens gets a yellow tomorrow for kicking the ball away, then gets a second yellow for arguing about it?

What about Akinde? Isn't he on 4 yellows too?

If he's going to kick it away, do it properly.

No, only 3. He was not booked at Macclesfield.

I hate threads like this. Play your best side in every game. One of the worst things about football in recent times has been the downgrading of cup competitions. I always found them the most magical games in football growing up.

This is true, especially the FA Cup. I loved most of those games when we got through to the 4th round 2 years in a row, even Underhill was rocking.

winning a couple of rounds would pay for one or two quality loanees later in the season if needed so we should at least try and win.
