Middlesex Senior Cup

Post: # 153139Post BeesKnees »

Just heard that Barnet are in the Middlesex Senior Cup this year. The club will be playing teams like Hayes & Yeading and Wealdstone next season.

I think it will be good if we are in both as it will provide extra game time for squad players and promising youngsters.

Confirmed by the Middlesex FA. No idea about the HSC.

This is what I have from them:
Holders Harrow Borough FC, Barnet FC, Wealdstone FC and Hayes & Yeading will all be exempt until the second round of the 2015-16 MSC

Some decent teams in the MSC compared with in Hertfordshire; Enfield Town, Hendon, Harrow Borough, Wealdstone, Wembley etc

Can anyone explain the rules regarding clubs affiliating to county FAs. Once Underhill has gone, Barnet will have no links with the old county of Herts and there probably no need to be in the Herts FA and senior cup.
I also follow Wisbech Town FC and when they moved grounds less than a mile, they crossed the border from Cambs into Norfolk. However, they remain members of the Cambs FA and still contest their senior cup. As fas as I know, they have nothing to do with the Norfolk FA.

Confused! What's with putting "decent teams" and "Enfield Town" in the same sentence?

The HSC was getting a bit boring anyway. Even with the likes of Watford and Stevenage involved, ties with them were hardly inspiring.
At least in the Middlesex cup, a tie with Wealdstone or Enfield will add a little bit of local spice, and it will be something a bit different to what we've become used to in recent years.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

I wonder if we will still have the agreement to only play games away like we had with the herts fa.
