Really odd. Looks like it came out of the blue.

That's very weird, did not see that one coming.

Anyone know if we had a sell on % written into Albert's contract?

I work with a Middlesboro season ticket holder and he states this all started when they played Derby and Albert wasn't tracking back to help out his full back. Their Spanish boss went mad with him after the game in the dressing room where words were exchanged.
When they went back into training Boss man told Albert that if he didn't track back he would substitute him at the earliest opportunity. Albert apparently said that wasn't his game and he wasn't changing. Next game he's sitting on the bench and then decides to hand in a transfer request.
Now the strange part here is that apparently Bristol City enquire about re signing him and are quoted 6 million!! Funnily enough this makes relations between player and club more strained. Be interesting to see how this pans out.

He's loved at BC. He tweeted his admiration for their fans after Middlesbrough's game against Bristol City, the game he was dropped for! Good good player. More than capable for a top Championship team / bottom half premier league team.

It doesn't sound like AA to be petulant like that. Is his agent behind this trying to get him a move? Surely he should be aiming for clubs with realistic ambitions of promotion?

In the current transfer market £6m for Adomah sounds a bit cheap, what with Wolves asking for £15m for Afobe.

Maybe time is giving me rose coloured glasses, but from memory I thought that Albert would quite often track back to help out at Barnet. Am I wrong?

Yes he worked hard up and down the slope at Underhill.

Seems a strange story with he manager saying he can't imagine him wanting to leave. Perhaps he wants to move back down south.

Hope he moves to Palace - Albert and Yannick on the wings and Puncheon in the middle!
