Rumour that Ian Hendon will be assistant manager to Nobby Solano at Gillingham. Apparently Pennock has already been sacked but will still be taking charge today.

Here's a small highlights reel of classic / awful moments from Barnet in the 90's including Maik Taylors debut:

James Pearson is now at Kidderminster, playing for them in the FA Cup at Deeping Rangers today (live on the BBC website)

It seems like a nice club (well at least the pies are fantastic) but he is way better than National League North (or South) - in fact way better than the National League full-stop.

That's unbelievable. The injury must be the reason because he was way to good for L2.

Another goal for Josh Clarke for Brentford v Reading. Really pleased to see him doing well, he was much more enthusiastic than the average loan player when he was with us, and clearly had the quality too.

Saw two short-lived Barnet strikers from around a decade ago, playing in the Beaconsfield Town vs Uxbridge game in the Southern League Division One East this afternoon. Both failed to make their respective starting line-ups, and came on as second half substitutes. Kofi Lockhart-Adams played one first team game for Barnet in 2009, and held the record as the Bees' youngest Football League player until Mauro Vilhete took this honour from him. He scored Beaconsfield's fourth goal this afternoon, after previously missing an open goal with a header. Anthony Thomas was signed by Barnet in 2007 but failed to live up to his much-hyped promise, scoring just four goals in 26 appearances, while in the same period collecting criminal convictions for road-rage assault and maiming his pet puppy. He didn't score for Uxbridge. Given his predisposition towards extreme violence, I decided against jeering him from the terraces.

Josh Clarke scored against Norwich. He is now Brentford's joint top scorer with Neil Maupay however Maupay has played a lot more minutes than Clarke.

Jordan Parkes broke Finchley hearts by equalising from a direct free-kick in Hemel Hempstead's FA Cup replay at Summers Lane, which HH won 2-1 after extra time.

Jordan Parkes was a strange player...he was so good for us during his loan spell but when he signed permanently (albeit in a very, very poor Barnet team) he couldn't get back to those levels. A very tidy, technical player who should be playing in a higher division IMO.

He's done really well at Hemel further forward. Technically he was a good player but he struggled with the physical requirements. Maybe we should have tried him further forward
