Similarities with Big John. Gone around the houses to loads of clubs and underperformed due to minimal game time. All the fans of the clubs he's played for told us he was shit.

When all they wanted is to be loved, played and given a stable home. Then the fans of the other clubs suddenly decide they want him back, and they shouldn't have let me go. (See also: Dougie Freedman and numerous others).

Wikipedia suggests that since being renamed "League Two" in 2004, Barnet players have only won this award 3 times, namely:

- Ismail Yakubu in August 2009;
- Michael Gash in September 2015; and now
- Shaq Coulthirst in September 2017.

Scandalous that Sir John Akinde has not been honoured with this award at some point.
