Underhill

Post: # 228981Post HertsBee »

Although the club no longer owns Underhill, with it due to be demolished this month is there a chance that Supporters could obtain a souvenir, like a seat from stand, or any signs etc. Also, what is happening with the South Stand? Has it been sold yet or will the club put it into storage? Plus for those people that had ashes scattered, will there be a little Service or some kind of rememberance?

Last time I had a look from the hole in the East Stand all the seats were gone. Would be interesting to see some pictures of what it looks like properly as you can only see half the pitch from the err.. gloryhole?

Did anyone buy a section of the pitch, and if so is it still alive?

For all those wanting to know what Underhill looks like now, please click on this link.

Someone put a drone in the stadium a few months back. It's quite hard to watch, the ground is like a jungle now, with grass overgrown and seats gone. So sad to see.

Looks horrific.... what a waste.

Incidentally, whatever happened with the film. Had screenings at THL. Any chance of it ever being released to buy???

You're welcome.

I was really taken back by how much it had fallen into a state. Weird to see the seats gone, the amber barriers on the East Terrace first row fade because of sunlight, and what appears to be a small jungle around the south stand.

On the flip side all it would take is someone to cut the grass and put a lick of paint and the ground would be back to normal again...
