Re: Underhill
Yes, well done Hiveoccupier and the others. Whatever happens to Underhill, there must be some memorial to the club and to those who had there ashes spread on the pitch.
It would be nice to hear from the club that this could be paid for by the chairman as he has pocketed quite a nice sum plus all the houses he aquired around the ground.

Being a Sun Sports fan, and I'm sure that some of you may have heard about what has happened to us this season, I know that we would love to have the chance to move to Underhill, even just for a season while we continue to try and get our main ground back in Watford.
Who would we need to contact?

Sadly I fear you are too late. The bulldozers move in on Monday.SunSports fan wrote:Being a Sun Sports fan, and I'm sure that some of you may have heard about what has happened to us this season, I know that we would love to have the chance to move to Underhill, even just for a season while we continue to try and get our main ground back in Watford.

You could always approach Barnet's chairman Tony Kleanthous about ground sharing at The Hive.

Re: Underhill
Sorry to hear what is happening at Sun Sports. Underhill won’t be an option for you the stadium is being demolished in preparation for the construction of a school. If have already done so maybe it’s worth a discussion with local clubs like Wingate and Finchley, London Conley, Potters Bar or Hadley about groundsharingSunSports fan wrote:Being a Sun Sports fan, and I'm sure that some of you may have heard about what has happened to us this season, I know that we would love to have the chance to move to Underhill, even just for a season while we continue to try and get our main ground back in Watford.

I had 8 feet in my head from somewhere - I guess this is where. But the pitch did slope from top right to bottom left, so I do still think the "full" slope was more than 8 feet.
Re: Underhill
When we beat Carlisle 4-2 on Guy Fawkes night 1991, i was at home listening to the commentary from Jonathan Pearce on Capital Gold. I distinctly remember him making a comment that we were sending Carlisle 'down that 8 foot slope' when we scored the 4th.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Jonathan Pearce, a great and very knowledgable commentator.ninestein wrote:When we beat Carlisle 4-2 on Guy Fawkes night 1991, i was at home listening to the commentary from Jonathan Pearce on Capital Gold.
