Yeovil (Away) The Old Rosie Tinted Spectacles Thread
Re: Yeovil (Away) The Old Rosie Tinted Spectacles Thread
The highlights only show the goal but yes, Clough should have won the tackle, but that was an incredible tough penalty and I don't blame Santos for that.
Kudos to all the bees that went down there.

Sorry to hear that mate, glad everything is okay.Norfolk & Chance wrote:I've been enjoying a few days in the New Forest in a posh hotel.
Been sat in the lounge in front of a log fire with my tablet fretting over the score at half time.
Out of the blue I had to call an ambulance for my wife and just experienced the worst few hours of my life.
All ok now thank god but just a nasty, frightening reminder that this is just football.
I know it's extremely important to us and I'm not belittling the game and club we love, BUT, it is just a game.
The fact we're all here to fret over our results is a damned site better than the alternative.
It was probably unnecessary to share but the relief of my wife being ok-ish has left me feeling a little philosophical.
Roll on Saturday!!

Glad your wife is ok Norfolk.
Still don't know how we lost that. We dominated the second half.
And then the A303 was shut in two places so a 4 hour journey home.
Ah well at least we are fighting in the second half now.
On to Saturday

Echo the thoughts to Norfolk and his wife.
Atleast if we’re going to go down we will go down fighting. Still not out of it, just makes next two games critical. Enjoyable second half which we should have scored.
The journey home was ridiculous, so many road closures, think I headed back to Yeovil 3 times!
Onwards to Accy game...

No wonder Yeovil has a rep for being in the middle of nowhere!

Echo the comments about your wife Norfolk & Chance.
Like others have said it was a poor first half but much better second, Mauro was a threat again when he came on and was unlucky not to score when his shot hit the post and went the other side.
Creating chances is not the issue it is the not taking them that is becoming problem.

Credit to everyone who went last night, the stupid road closures are another nail in my long distance midweek away game coffin!watfordbee wrote:Echo the thoughts to Norfolk and his wife.

He just needed to stay on his feet...I thought of you as he dived in John. Both Watson and the Mighty Mauro deserved a goal.. but it just didn't go our way...oh well onto the next one.jerroll wrote:having seen the 2nd goal i rest my case where clumsy is concerned!watfordbee wrote:And shocking defending as usual!letchbee94 wrote:Echo the comments about your wife Norfolk & Chance.

Never a pen! The guy was already falling over. Disgraceful refereeing. VAR for League 2 I say.

Well based on those highlights we should remain confident that we nearly did enough to win - and more than then in fact. The penalty was so tame its untrue +was good to see a variety of players shooting. But we can't keep saying the same thing - we have to be clinical and actually score - preferably more than once in a game.

We definitely need to score more than once if the opposition scores twice. Perhaps we should ask jamiefrbees to write a post about it so that Graham Westley gets this advice and puts it into practice.barnet_pls wrote:Well based on those highlights we should remain confident that we nearly did enough to win - and more than then in fact. Re: Yeovil (Away) The Old Rosie Tinted Spectacles Thread
The last goal was dismal defending and Ross shouldn't have been beaten at his near post like that. We improved second half and it could have finished 1-1 but if we're still going to concede sloppy as hell goals like that then it just makes the whole improved 2nd half performance pointless. We've been doing this all season, we need to stop these poor decisions and get some basic defending sorted out!
Saturday will be a toughie that's for sure! Accrington will punish us if we defend like that.
