Still can't believe they didn't get one poxy goal  .....they should do better tomorrow, only to hope we can still visit Exeter next season.

Just like to wish Exeter good luck for this afternoon's PO Final. I would have said Coventry deserve to win and go up, but after their half time decision to happily relegate us they can swivel. People may see this as a post / wish from a bitter Bee, and yep you'd be spot on. Come on you Grecians!

If the toothless EFL was to take action against teams who very obviously are not trying to win then these sort of situations would not arise.
By "action" I mean points deducted.
I will be supporting Exeter too.

Not the first or last time. As I said on another thread, Martin would have done exactly the same

Since when have you been MA spokesman?
They decided on a carve up at half time which meant we were relegated.

Think the previous 45 and a half games had an influence on the relegation too.

I’m bloody bitter, come on Exeter. The second half was a disgrace in that game.

Of course, you are correct on that StephenM, but I am concerned with the moral obligation of football clubs to try and win each and every match that they start. That is what we, as fans/customers pay our money to see. Not two teams barely breaking sweat and with no intention of going for the win. If the EFL doesn't act on this we will see this same scenario acted out time and time again.
The ultimate loser is football.

Sure Martin Allen would have done the same. Any manager needing a point to avoid relegation would have done so. I 'm sure Jim Bentley was only too delighted to have been offered such a lifeline. Lucky Morecambe.

The fault lies solely with Coventry and I hope they lose this afternoon. Sure, our relegation was our own fault. But both ours and Morecambe's seasons should have been decided over 46 matches, not 45.

As a season ticket holder fully aware of that thank you. Not the reason for this thread and does not influence my feeling on what happened that afternoon.
