Does anyone know when the date will be finalised?

Today or tomorrow I'd think. First and second round details were confirmed by end of the week after the draw.talldarkslim wrote:Does anyone know when the date will be finalised?

The friday night game is usually on tv so I dont think there’s any danger of us playing then. It’s annoying Wednesday are at home as well otherwise we’d be dead cert for a Sat 3pm

it will all depend on what South Yorkshire police want!Masuka wrote:The friday night game is usually on tv so I dont think there’s any danger of us playing then. It’s annoying Wednesday are at home as well otherwise we’d be dead cert for a Sat 3pm

3pm sat is the default kick off time, I still can't see South Yorks plod allowing weds & utd to play at the same time!

Especially as ex Non League Luton have a few idiots...jerroll wrote:3pm sat is the default kick off time, I still can't see South Yorks plod allowing weds & utd to play at the same time!

It's an agonising wait. Don't build your hopes up. Saturday would be so good - possibly being on the same train as Luton fans fills me with dread though if it's on the same day.ccollis_869 wrote:Looking likely that we will be a Saturday 3pm kick off!!!

The worry is that police get paid more on Sundays I think so the hierarchy might want less Old Bill so they don't have to pay extra wages? I'm not a doom merchant, just prepared for things being made more awkward.

No chance both games in Sheffield will take place on the same day. TV games have no bearing on this.Psycho wrote:It's an agonising wait. Don't build your hopes up. Re: FA cup 3rd round
They have only announced which ones they'll be doing live, no mention from BT Sport or any mention of what, if any, games they are moving to Sunday for the 'around the grounds' coverage. I am fully expecting ours to move to Sunday in which case I will be very cross as I will have to miss the match.

Re: FA cup 3rd round
That is BBC that do the 'around the grounds'
Re: FA cup 3rd round
They don't do it in the third round. Just televised games or city tie clashes (Nottingham or Sheffield or Liverpool clubs for example) with one of them playing on the Sunday.
Re: FA cup 3rd round
Ok good to hear the 'around the grounds' doesn't happen from 3rd round, I bet we get moved to Sunday though. I'd love to be wrong!
