What the bookies think. Odds for 2019/20

Post: # 276942Post hoppy »

Notts County. 8/1
Fylde. 10/1
Chesterfield. 10/1
Wrexham. 11/1
Barnet. 16/1
Solihull Moors. 16/1
Torquay. 16/1
Stockport County. 20/1
Harrogate. 20/1
Yeovil. 20/1
Eastleigh. 25/1
Bromley. 25/1
Dagenham. 33/1
Hartlepool. 33/1
Dover. 40/1
Sutton. 40/1
Halifax. 50/1
Barrow. 50/1
Woking. 50/1
Chorley. 50/1
Ebbsfleet. 50/1
Boreham Wood. 66/1
Maidenhead. 66/1
Aldershot. 80/1

What Hoppy thinks..
Notts County favourites?? Don't waste your money. It is still possible they will get a 12 points deduction.
Other "poor value" punts...Yeovil, can't see them making the play offs so 20/1 not good odds. Likewise I would have to say Barnet (please let me be wrong).
Some "good value" bets....Solihull at 16/1, Harrigate at 20/1, Bromley at 25/1, Woking at 50/1 and Chorley at 50/1 all worth small each way bets (1/4 the odds for top three spot).

Interesting to see how Stockport get on because they're a big club (for this level) on the up.

Yeovil at 7/1 for relegation is a decent punt.

This is a not a *put money on them*

But as it stands, Ebbsfleet will still have one of the largest budgets next season. It was over £2million last season.

Also possibly favourites to go pop. But...

I can see Chesterfield having a good season. When Sheridan went back in he seemed to stop the rot and results improved. Could be a key 2nd season for them.

I would agree with the original post. Don't waste money backing either of the 2 relegated sides.
However, one does wonder how much of a one season wonder Solihull were last term. Can they repeat the trick? Or were they more of a Leicester type of entity. A bit limited in the way they played, but got it right enough times over the course of 12 months.

Wrexham have been flattering to deceive for a few years now. Will they finally push on and challenge?

How can they have one of the largest budgets when they keep failing to pay their staff every month?

Their transfer business so far has been pretty poor too.

I expect Stockport will be in the playoff mix too. They are on the way up and have a strong fan backing

Yes, i'm not saying you should back them but... they had a ridiculous budget when they made the play offs. When they started cost cutting they were unable to clear their decks (bit like us). So they are left with a few people on a big wedge who won't easily be shifted. Not paying them admittedly is one way...

I’d of thought Torquay will be up there. Club on a roll with a decent manager.

Both Stockport and Torquay will be fascinating to see. Both are ex-league clubs. Stockport have good support for this level and that will make a difference in terms of their budget. However, the fact that Stockport have been down in the NLN for a few years will have taken its toll on the players they have been able to recruit. In some respects they could be no different to most sides going up a level. Unless they heavily invest over the summer like Salford did, i can't see them as title condenders.

However, it's good to see both clubs turning their fortunes around.

League is completely unpredictable, I for one think Maidenhead United will nick the title

If we don't sign anything other than a goalie then even looking at the odds are pointless.

Were currently 14/1 to win it, which is just silly, unless you have insider knowledge of incoming transfers. Chesterfield and Torquay have signed some decent players in the last week which makes them better value right now. The Arsenal friendly is an interesting one, which could mean a new connection between clubs and a possibility of some loans for the new season. Can they please give us the upcoming Dixon, Adams, Vieira and Henry please.
