A tape in the attic

Post: # 282178Post X-Bumble »

I was up in my attic the other day when I found a cassette tape at the bottom of a box.

I played the tape and it turns out to be commentary from Captial Gold Sport of the Man City V Barnet return cup fixture. I don't know if it is all there as I haven't played through the whole tape.

Would anyone want a copy of it if I can find a way to record it onto my PC?

I remember listening to that live on the night!
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

I sure do!

I also have a ton of photos I took when I was club photographer back in the 90's. I also have a box full of all the KBA media articles from the time.

Maybe there should be some sort of historic BFC depository for people to be able to access. It's all part of the club's history after all.

Our tapes were in Betamax and in plain brown boxes.

Talking of shitty placement of away fans. We were shoved right at the back of the stand behind the goal, surrounded by Man City fans.

Just as well they won as when Dougie scored they were not happy!

And me.
What a night at underhill though. I remember seeing Fanny Lee sat in the stand with a long face.

And me! Think I had mock exams and couldn't make it. Assume that Johnathan Pearce was at Capital Gold back then.

He was indeed, but the commentary is not from him. I'll get around to recording it and I'll put a link up to it.
