Popped by for a pint and a curry in Grazioli's but turned back when they realised it had been renamed.

I am finding them a delight at this tournament. They dug deep to beat Austria but have some fine players.

I like the togetherness of the squad. I don't know what Vialli's role is but to see his joy when Italy score is fantastic. He has come back from the brink fighting pancreatic cancer (which took my Dad from me in 1999). The huddles with all the squad and the background team are good to see.

I want England to win more than anything but am developing soft spots for Italy and Denmark this time round. Not that my son lets me watch much of it anyway. I was glad to catch the extra time yesterday.

Obviously I'm rooting for England, but I must say Italy seem to have something about them and fully expect them to be in the shaje-up late on. However, my money is on Belgium, whose squad just oozes quality. Ok, they've flattered to deceive in the past, but I think they've learned from this under a very good boss.
