Barnet & Edgware Town FC?
Was doing some thinking earlier and it really came to my attention that the hive is nowhere near our current ground or the barnet area(new barnet/east barnet/high barnet etc). The M1 acts the division, if it was on the east side I could understand the ground being 'in barnet'. However, the hive is further than burnt oak, stanmore and is only a few minutes drive from Kingsbury and Harrow. If this club was to move to the hive and call it Barnet FC, it would be a sham. It would make me feel even less attached to the club than the move would already make it. The club would become a lie.
So, with this in mind, I have come to to the conclusion that if we to relocate to 'this part of London' there is no way it could still be called Barnet FC. I was thinking of some names that we could adopt. Dagenham and Redbridge have done it, and that doesnt sound too bad? I was thinking of some names such as 'Barnet & Edware Town FC', 'Barnet & Edgware FC', 'Barnet & Stanmore FC'. These are just suggestions in a hypothetical situation. What does everyone think, isit only me that feels like this?

At least AFC Dons stole a fully built ground rather than one that was half built and derelict for several years!

I think 'Milton Keynes Dons FC' is now simply 'Milton Keynes FC', or they are slowly moving in that direction. They have no affiliation with afc wimbledon whatsoever and they have handed back all of 'wimbledons' previous titles and trophies.bucks bee wrote:Harrow Bees FC.

In that sense 'Harrow Bees FC' could just end up as 'Harrow FC' lol although dont Harrow already have their own team, 'Harrow Borough FC'?

I think I raise a valid point. Not only is the hive not within our borough it is also surrounded by other suburbab areas that serve no connection with barnet at all. In fact the direct distance (not via road) from the hive to underhill is almost the same as underhill to enfields old ground at the A10 junction, and thats some way.northwestbee wrote:Definitely block_c F._c.

We shall need a completely new name to reflect our (lack of) geographical identity.
What about North-West London Suburbs United FC?

How about 'Don'twanttobehere F.C.'
Re: Barnet & Edgware Town FC?
Couldn't we be like all new clubs these days and be an AFC? Then we could be AFC NWLSU. What a novel name that would be!bucks bee wrote:We shall need a completely new name to reflect our (lack of) geographical identity.

Wealdstone Bees
They reached FA Trophy semis which is a good achievement.
