Saying "surely he's had positive overtures" is massively jumping the gun?WhetstoneBee wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 13:24Sorry to add a dose of realism but this is massively jumping the gun. The statement suggests the pre-application process hasn’t even begun yet and so there won’t have been any sort of official advice given. The council will have a number of political considerations and will be worried about this becoming a major electoral issue in Underhill ward again. We as supporters may in time need to show them that there is a political benefit as well as a cost to them agreeing to this. Even then, it’s green belt land so Sadiq Khan and the government would probably also need to get involved. Not to put a dampener on things - I’m as excited about the prospect as anyone - but it’s at a very, very early stage.Norfolk & Chance wrote: ↑19 Feb 2024, 13:12 I've always loved TK, top man !!
Never in doubt !!
Where's John C these days?
"Gutted from Basingstoke"
Seriously though, surely TK has done a great deal of groundwork with the council prior to making this announcement.
A "shoe in" would be overstating it but he MUST have received positive overtures.
What a day !!!
Okaaaayyyy

Can we dig out the old clock from the North Terrace turnstiles and put it in the corner of the new ground?
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Now that was a bolt out of the blue !!
So we will now have the Hive rebuilt in Barnet.
No doubt BRASS will be out protesting again, but look where that got them last time !!
So will that be 2 seasons left at the Hive if everything goes to plan and runs smoothly?
