A "shoe in" would be overstating it but he MUST have received positive overtures.

Sorry to add a dose of realism but this is massively jumping the gun. The statement suggests the pre-application process hasn’t even begun yet and so there won’t have been any sort of official advice given. The council will have a number of political considerations and will be worried about this becoming a major electoral issue in Underhill ward again. We as supporters may in time need to show them that there is a political benefit as well as a cost to them agreeing to this. Even then, it’s green belt land so Sadiq Khan and the government would probably also need to get involved. Not to put a dampener on things - I’m as excited about the prospect as anyone - but it’s at a very, very early stage.
