Barnet Council - Here we go again?

Post: # 369335Post hoofer2 »

This is where I'm wary of the prospects to move back home to Underhill.

This is the same council that did everything they could to prevent any hope of a new stadium for Barnet because they were bitter about the freehold being acquired by TK. They even prevented use of the access road that ran along the East Terrace unless a big levy was paid

Expect many cronies from the past coming out the woodwork to stop it happening.

Is it a different MP?
We may need the backing of Theresa Villiers.

Elected 2005 so post initial South Underhill application when Sidney Chapman was still in situ.

lol, no we don’t. One of the very worst MPs around, who is thankfully going to lose her seat at the next GE.
I’m not aware of her even being aware that we exist.

She is currently busy trying to stay relevant by taking a HEROIC stand against a new bus lane. I get endless leaflets about it.

She would latch on to any anti new stadium campaign in a heartbeat if she thinks it could save her seat.

She's actually a very good MP when it comes to helping out her constituents. I've had a couple of problems with Barnet council over the last decade and she has helped me considerably. I thought about sending her an email but, we need to take advice from WSP/TK on how we as fans and voters in Barnet can best help to achieve this move.

Why would you issue news of 'coming home' triumphantly to the national media before checking the powers that be had changed their Barnet FC stance....?
