Surely the pressure of the occasion has led to such a poor display. Nothing stifles a team’s ability more than the fear of failure. It causes tension in the body which makes players leggy and appear tired. It also scrambles decision making.
Surely, given the situation, the club consulted a psychologist this week to try and remove the fear of failure? If they did then I’d like to know what they said.
All those extra interviews with players just building the pressure too.
This club is allergic to the high pressure one-off games.

If O'Donker picked up had injury which ruled him out then fair enough, can understand Stead being in bench after picking up knock, but every aspect of our play from defence to up top has been far to slow, off the pace, didn't see us looking the team that would show up looking shattered, we had every advantage, they played a day later than they should of, home advantage. Back three didn't work from first whistle, they got down the sides far to easy. Pritch, Hartigan, and Freeman far to slow. No pace. But to not manage a single shot is just not acceptable, the players have let themselves down as well as fans, but Dean was more concerned and set up with what they could do rather than concentrate on our strengths. Just didn't see this performance coming.

Slow. Ponderous. Uninspired.

Recruitment will be huge, need much dynamism in defense and midfield.

Solihull have been good but nothing special. That’s what hurts most, all they’ve had to do to win this is turn up, fight hard and want it. We’re going out with a whimper.

Moors are for more accustomed to the big occasions.

DB and the players have had too much time to overthink and endless stupid interviews about what a trip to wembley would mean for the club.

Moors playing midweek has suited them massively.

Humiliating
This is the most ridiculous explanation for the total lack of guts and courage we’ve seen this afternoon that you will ever see. This team cannot deal with pressure. 70 minutes into a home playoff semi final without a shot on target. It’s been pathetic.
you are just the sort of character who would no doubt bottle it under pressure.

Clearly don't have a trace of empathy or intelligence to realise that there is a whole lot more that goes into 'not having a shot' than being 'bottlejobs' or lacking courage.

All the pressure was on us and we've been unable to deal with it and give a good account of ourselves on the day.

It doesn't undo the excellent season the side has had. No doubt, you too will realise that in the cold light of day tomorrow when you've got all your anger out. For now, go ahead and lash out.

Pathetic is the man who turns against his club on a bad day.

In what way are they more accustomed to the big occasion. That’s the worst excuse I’ve ever heard. We bottled it. Plain and simple. It’s ok to admit that.

I am in disbelief at how bad we’ve been.

Sackable performance that from DB.

they've won an FA trophy semi-final for starters...and they played a play-off final v Grimsby in 2022. Next stupid question?

Nonsense. The problem isn’t the quality of the players - you don’t don’t finish second with poor players. The problem is with mindset and mentality and players that don’t turn up when it matters most, and a management team that is pretty consistently outthought by opposing managers in big games. The hugely impressive Andy Whing has got it absolutely spot on and DB, once again when it really matters, hasn’t.

When you have followed the team up and down the country and spent £100s you’re entitled to be angry. The lads have had a great season but today has been pathetic, lost before the game with the team selection. We will get over it and move it, but today has been a disaster.
