Re: Play off blogging
I thought they were going to do badly this season after they basically released a load of players before the end of 22/23 had ended. It’s pretty clear that Andy Whing is a shrewd manager.
Re: Play off blogging
Andy Whing appointed manager at Banbury in May 2020, under him they were promoted to Southern League Premier and to National League North. They stayed in NLN with him but since he left them to join Solihull last June they've been relegated without him.
Solihull have now reached NL P.O.s in the first season of his management.

Good call to name check Simon Bassey and Dave Anderson as well. Simon worked miracles in the short time he was with us. Early building blocks for what we have now.tonbridgebee wrote:Just a little piece ahead of the weekend on 'So you won't believe what happened at Barnet FC', link below, enjoy the read:

Exactly, people forget that actually those few months were the beginnings of the foundations, now we have a house.FredBee wrote: ↑25 Apr 2024, 23:29Good call to name check Simon Bassey and Dave Anderson as well. Totally agree with the blog piece, if folk have said in the past the budget is mid table, I go back to last season’s home games with Notts County and Wrexham, at the conclusion of the County game both sets of players ran themselves into the floor, the majority of which ended up laying on the turf. For Wrexham, we almost beat them, just a misplaced header away.tonbridgebee wrote:Exactly, people forget that actually those few months were the beginnings of the foundations, now we have a house.FredBee wrote: ↑25 Apr 2024, 23:29Good call to name check Simon Bassey and Dave Anderson as well. Although Saturday was so frustrating (I thought Solihull brilliantly played the ref like a banjo), objectivity, we continue to overperform, we now need to push on to the next level.
